We at Archivite Architecture follow a fascination for investigative spatial research focusing on the productive interior environments and the influence of built form on the everyday lives of its inhabitants and users. We believe every design is unique and is a resultant of in-depth analytical research, whilst also challenging the existing thinking strategies and evolving exciting design solutions. We have an agenda to explore spatial configurations through a systematic process using Lego blocks. We base our modus operandi and call it – “Lego Typing”. Our design reflects authenticity to context and response to client desires and site conditions. We explore geometric configurations as an opportunity to create interest in interior and exterior spaces.
One of speciality lies in our CSR approach and projects. After our pilot project of rural community centre, we have developed several urban inserts and rural prototypes as a part of Corporate Social responsibility and Social projects.
Our USP lies in our research and extent to create sustainable environments through up-cycling and eco friendly ideas. Our first prototype was an element / product designed with the up cycled pine wood from discarded pallets, which we use as studio tables in our firm. Eventually we started to scale up using upcycled materials in interiors and integrated in to our architectural practice.
We focus on residential, industrial and commercial projects along with CSR projects. Our residential and commercial projects extend to turnkey solutions and currently we are associated as architectural consultants for leading energy projects, eco friendly consultants for residential projects in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka and CSR consultants for several NGO’s and trusts.
Holds a Master’s degree in Architecture (Housing & Urbanism) from Architectural Association, London. After his under graduation from SRM University, Kattankulathur, he went on to pursue his master degree in 2012. During his post graduate program, he was on tenure to work on MCMV (Minha Casa Minha Vida) housing policy program in Brazil and also involved in the London post Olympics redevelopment program with the London Legacy Redevelopment program as a part of academic program. Back in India, after working in a Chennai based architectural firm, he initiated the process of establishing his studio in Chennai & Ooty in the name of Studio of Architectural Urbanism (SAU) in 2015. A year later, his college buddy joined him and the studio was renamed to “Archivite Architecture”. Travel is his passion and has let him explore different dimensions of design, getting inspired from rest of the world. He has a key on recycling, community participation and environmental concern, which led him to work on social projects & research on using alterative materials. He is quite ambitious to scale up this concern and explore opportunities to use it in forthcoming projects as well.
Holds a Bachelor Degree in Architecture from SRM University. Having a working experience of 5 years in an architectural firm in Chennai, she joined her college buddy to work on Archivite. Her experience in project management from the previous firm, has led to manage turnkey solutions with our projects. She has a passion towards art that has led in creation of lot of geometrical perspectives, form exploration ad mandala art. She is also an ardent plant lover, and has conjointly worked on setting up lot of home gardens as a part of her activities.
